Chapter 10

Master Reken, Master Sidamo has returned.

The head of the House of Art, Reken Art, was holed up in his study as he was approached from outside the door. He is one of the few remaining servants of the Art family.

“…Sidamo? Send them to the reception room. I’ll be right there.”

“Understood”

After hearing his reply, he put the grimoire away in a drawer and locked it.

It is a grimoire of the Art family’s art of warding, passed down only to the head of the family. All the knowledge of the warding method is collected in this book.

Blessed with a talent for magic, Reken has completely succeed in mastered it at the young age of his mid-twenties. It was the result of his talent combined with his desperate effort.

Having been officially recognized by the Star Church as the head of the House of Art, he inherited the management of the great ward, which covers the underground labyrinth, from his father. Dareken. Not long after he succeeded as the head of the family, his father, who had been ill, passed away as if he was relieved.

Originally, the city of Art was a neutral city ruled by the Art family, the administrators of the wards. But after the death of his great ancestor G. Art, the Star Church which originally took refuge here, gradually tore down Art family’s power. He was about to drop it. They drowned his successors in a life of opulence, turning them into foolish charlatans and turning the Art family into rulers in name only.

Eventually, with the rise of the Star Church, they were completely deprived of power and ended up being under the thumb of the Star Church.

The church let them keep their aristocratic status as a sign of mercy. Reken knows that the people ridicule them as fallen noblemen.

The proud Reken couldn’t stand it. Who is the one who prevented the invasion of demons and kept the peace on the continent? Who is responsible for the fact that the wards are still being maintained today? Isn’t it because of us, the Art Clan?

It is the same with the Star Church. It was they who sheltered them when they were a weak religion. It is because of G. Art that those who were viewed with suspicion as a group of pagans were able to significantly spread their religion. It’s all about dignity. They couldn’t allow them to look down on them just because they’ve grown in influence.

Reken’s mind is filled with dark emotions, obsession with power, jealousy, anger, shame, and revenge.

(If they say they’ve forgotten, I’ll remind them again, who is in control of this city, who’s allowing you to live in peace.)

As Reken entered the reception room, Sidamo Art, who had been seated, stands up and bows his head.

Reken’s brother, Sidamo, had moved to a region of the Kingdom of Euz.

Reken responds with a wave of the hand and proceeds to the senior seat and sits down.

“Long time no see, brother.”

“Yeah, it’s good to see you too.”

“…Brother has lost some weight, hasn’t he? And your complexion.”

As Sidamo points out, Reken pats his own cheek.

“I’ve worked a little too hard. There is no time to rest when you are the head of the family. I have a heavy responsibility to fulfill. But as an heir to the art, I need to push on.”

Reken’s cheeks are sunken and deep circles are carved under his eyes. His body is thin and his face is pale. He looks so old it’s hard to believe he’s in his mid-twenties.

“Reken has been overwhelmed. He abused magical potions and forced himself to train and learn the warding techniques early. He cut back on his sleep and devoted himself to his studies in order to become a worthy successor of the head of the family. In order to increase his connections, he has repeatedly interacted with star church leaders and noblemen from various countries and honed his nerves and self-esteem to the limit.”

Reken’s body and spirit were definitely being eroded. Still, he was getting impatient to get the results he wanted.

“You should take some time off. You won’t see immediate results even if you push yourself.”

“Don’t worry about it. How about you, though? I’ve been informed that you’re in the service of the Kingdom of Euz.”

“Yes, I’m assigned to the Third Army of the Kingdom of Euz now. General Yalder has taken notice of me and allowed me to be the youngest member of the General Staff. However, I am only in charge of menial tasks.”

“Don’t be modest. Congratulations. You may not have been blessed with the gift of magic, but you have a good head on your shoulders. Keep up the good work.”

“Thank you.”

“I’m glad to hear good news for the first time in a long time.”

Reken’s expression relaxes. His face regains its natural color, albeit slightly.

After exchanging small talk and talk about recent events for a while, Sidamo switches topics with a serious expression on his face.

“……….Brother, I can’t see sister anywhere.”

“Anyone with the filthy blood of a mistress like that is a disgrace to our family. Be careful not to call her “sister” again. There are ears everywhere.”

“We have different mothers, but she’s still my sister.”

“Anyone with the blood of such a filthy mistress is a disgrace to our family. She is the worst possible legacy of my beloved father. Do not speak of her again.”

Reken reprimands him sternly and Sidamo keeps his mouth shut.

Reken removes his gaze from Sidamo. This attitude, even towards his own relatives. When did he become such a person?

It wasn’t like this when they were young. Reken, Sidamo and Matari were very close to each other. The three of them vowed to work together to make the house flourish

“… I’m sorry.”

“…Sidamo. Don’t come back here again.”

“What are you saying, brother?”

“You’ve earned your place in the world. Perhaps even that filthy one will be able to do it eventually. Let me, as the head of the family, take care of the Art family.”

“brother?”

Reken assured him, and Sidamo catches his breath. There’s something eerie about the look on Reken’s face.

“Good? And leave Art as soon as you can. This is the last order from your brother.”

With that cold dismissal, Reken stands up and leaves the reception room. Saying those words with his back turned to Sidamo.

After Sidamo and Matari left the house, Reken gave most of his followers some time off.

Sidamo served in the Euz Kingdom military and used his abilities to find a place to belong.

Matari also grew to the point where she could survive on her own. It was Reken who gave the housekeeper who was taking care of Matari the money for living expenses. A housekeeper can’t provide for another person, no matter how good natured she is.

It will be up to Matari herself to decide what path she will take in the future. She should not be trapped by the fallen Art name.

“…The time will come soon. It will be my job to break the last barrier. Only I am capable of doing that. I’m going to ride out the raging torrent and rebuild the Art house again.”

That’s why he put his pride aside and interacted the hated Star Church faction. Just as they have used the Art house to expand their power, now he will use them himself. Soon, the magic needed for the core of his plans will be complete. The time for action is near.

Reken clenches his fists tightly.

(With the Starsphere in his possession, there will be nothing to fear. There will be no need to obey that trash, Ilgachev. When the time is right, he will crush the Star Church to its roots!)

“Do you think this is enough for today? We’re on the ninth floor, and it’s about time to go.”

Yuusha calls out to Matari, who is a little ahead.

When you get to the ninth floor the number of groups with provisional permit begins to grow and there are many groups of people conducting stationary hunts. They gain experience in this area and try to graduate from their temporary permits. It seems that in the three hours that a provisional permit allows them to explore, you can only get past the tenth floor at best. There are many rats, but the head-hunting rabbits and blood-sucking bats are their main prey. If you’re hunting without moving, there’s no need to worry about surprise attacks, so as long as you’re careful, it’s nothing to be afraid of.

Their party is on the move and needs to be vigilant. Because the goal this time is to see how far they can go.

Matari is prepared for a surprise attack and walked vigilantly with her shield ready. They ran at full speed until about the seventh floor and then proceeded with caution.

It’s been about two weeks since they began to challenge the labyrinth. They’re making good money, but the most dangerous time is when you start getting used to it, but Yuusha is protecting Matari as she goes along, so there haven’t been any problems. Matari is slowly accumulating experience and beginning to develop her ability as a warrior. Her fear of demons has been faded and she started to fight the way she wants to. The only way to do this is to gain some field experience.

While Matari looks somewhat impatient, Yuusha judges that she just needs to take some time to hone her skills.

“I guess you’re right. That’s probably enough for today. I’d like us to reach the tenth floor next time.”

Matari stows her sword and checks the time on her pocket watch.

According to Yuusha’s rough estimate, they had about thirty minutes left.

“Now that we have a general idea of the path, we can get there next time, right?”

“Yes, I think we can do it!”

“All right. Well, let’s just rest until it’s time to go then. I’m hungry.”

Yuusha spins her sword around to shake away the blood, then tucks it into its scabbard.

She sits down energetically on a suitable bump on the side of the passage, then takes out a washcloth from her waistband and wipes the blood off her face.

“–Phew. I’m a little tired.”

Seeing this, Matari decides to take a break and sits down as well. She is exhausted from being on alert while moving.

Since she is in heavy armor, it’s a lot of work to be on her toes all the time.

Yuusha advised her that she was too cautious, but Matari wasn’t capable of imitating Yuusha.

“You’re just being overly cautious. You can relax a little more. We don’t need to rush.”

Yuusha takes a small piece of bread from the pouch on her hip and throws it into her mouth.

It has no flavour, but it has a chewy texture, though it increases thirst.

“I’m not rushing. It’s not easy to relax.”

“You’ll be fine with a little more experience. It’ll blow over soon. Then you’ll be more relaxed. That’s what happened to me.”

“You too?”

“Of course I was immature and weak in the beginning. No one starts out strong.”

“Yeah, that’s right.”

Matari gives a small nod, but has a look on her face as if she wants to say something. Yuusha thought she’d seen that expression somewhere before. There’s a strange feeling of deja vu.

Where was that. When was it. Who was it. What name.

“Yuusha, are you okay?”

“Um, yeah, do you want one?”

“No, no, I’m fine. I don’t want to eat anything right now.”

“Is that so, all right then.”

With Matari looking discouraged, Yuusha continued munching and chewing.

It was chewy but tasteless, so she also threw some dried meat from her emergency rations into her mouth. As the salty flavour spread in her mouth, her throat felt thirsty.

Yuusha took out a bamboo cylinder and drank the water.

“Phew. I wish this were alcohol. It’s a not a good idea to drink in the labyrinth, though. Let’s have a drink when we return.”

“U-um, Yuusha.”

“Hmm, what?”

“Well, I mean…”

“If you have something to say, say it.”

“Uh, nevermind.”

Matari stammered. But seeing her expression, Yuusha remembered a little. Why had she forgotten about it?

Even though she had seen it in her nightmares many times before. She felt like her old memories were getting cloudy lately. Yuusha presses his temples.

This is what Matari must be thinking.

–She’s younger than me and has a worse physique. And yet, she doesn’t have any trouble with the demons of the labyrinth. She can even use attack and healing arts. Her sword skills are also better than mine. I’m just learning and not doing anything useful. Then, why are we together?

She can tell what she’s thinking by looking at her face. She can see the things she despised about herself.

She knows what she’s going to say afterwards. Was it shorter or longer than she thought it would be?

Yuusha waits silently for her next words, wondering which one they will be.

As Yuusha looks at Matari in contemplation, something trots up to them from the back of the passage.

It was one size larger than a labyrinth rat It would be about the size of a boar.

–It is the rat’s natural enemy, the so-called “cat”. It is a predator with a habit of mocking humans.

『Meow.』

“Oh, it’s a cat. I didn’t know there were cats in this place. It’s a little big, but it has a cute face.”

“It’s a little too big..”

“It’s coming over here!”

For a change from her usual nervousness, Matari is making a cheerful sound. Apparently, Matari likes cats.

Yuusha observes the cat while even though it appears friendly.

It rubs its face with its paw while sporting a friendly face. If it were a little smaller in size, it would be no different than a normal cat.

When the cat caught sight of the dried meat in Yuusha’s hand, it cat let out a meow and a sweet purr.

“–Cat, hey. I wonder if it wants some of this dried meat. Hey, do you want some of this?”

Yuusha lazily lifts up the dried meat and moves it towards the cat. The cat narrowed its eyes and meowed again.

“Yuusha, can I give it to him? I love cats!”

Matari says while smiling happily. Matari seems to be more of a cat person than a dog person, but that doesn’t matter here. She seems to have completely forgotten where she is. If she had come alone, she would definitely be dead within three days.

Yuusha almost held her head in her hands involuntarily, bud endured thanks to her personality. And then she told Matari coldly with a blank expression.

“Of course not. Or rather, kill that cat-like creature right now.”

“Eeee! Wh-why?

“There’s no way a normal cat would be in this shithole. Think about it. If you’re not careful, you’ll end up with your head bitten off.”

“Th-that’s true. Umm.”

Matari is looking at the cat with a doubtful expression. The cat-like creature tilts its head to the side, its dull black eyes wide.

Yuusha pulls out the dagger taken from the outlaw and points the edge at the cat-like creature.

“How long will you pretend to be an adorable cat?”

『…………』

I’m going to have to cut off your annoying whiskers first. Then you’ll reveal your foul nature, won’t you?

『……Gururu』

The cat’s mouth twists slightly, and red color is mixed with it’s dim eyes.

“Yuusha . The cat is scared.”

“Look closely. You’ll see that he’s looking for an opening. Concentrate your attention and feel the cat’s bloodlust.”

“Yes!”

Matari observed him as she was told to. She immediately sensed something and hurriedly pulls up her sword and shield.

Yuusha planned to never bring Matari into the labyrinth again if she didn’t notice this. After breaking her limbs to make her unable to fight for a while, she would plant a fear that could never be erased. I was going to put it on. She would resent her, but she figured it would be somewhat better than being demon food.

“This, this cat–“

“It’s obviously a demon. Don’t let your guard down against this kind of thing, , and don’t be too much of a softy. It’s too late to change once you’ve been eaten.”

“I’m sorry.”

“…well, this cat pulls it off quite well. I can smell it’s blood. And it has a distinctly demonic, rotten smell. It’s unbearable. Now, get on with it and show yourself! “

As Yuusha makes a motion to throw the dagger, the ‘cat’ pulls backward and reveals its true nature.

『Grrrrrr!』

A cat-like creature with exposed teeth and sharp claws. It’s a hellcat, a powerful enemy that appears in the upper levels. It will catch its opponents off guard and then bare its fangs. They are fast and strong enough to feed on the rats that are the cleaners of the labyrinth. You have to be especially careful with the claws as they can tear through iron armor.

“Matari, you take it out and I’ll cover you. You have to be able to deal with fast enemies. You can’t let them run away, so you have to aim well and kill them with a single blow. –Are you ready?”

“Yes, sir! I’m ready to go!”

She holds her shield in front and draws her sword back. This is Matari’s basic stance. She coordinates her weapons to hold enemies down with the shield and finishes them off with her sword.

Matari is still a bit rough around the edges, but Yuusha judged that she would improve from now on. Most importantly, she is blessed with a good body. She also has a talent for being a warrior. Her swordsmanship and footwork are at times impressive for a novice.

Yuusha who had seen top-notch warriors up close and personal knew this. The last think that she needed was a fierce character, but that would be more difficult to change. With her good nature, she is more suite to be a clergyman.

As the cat-like creature tried to pounce on Matari, Yuusha restrains it with her gaze. It was filled with a tremendous killing intent, which made the cat’s body cower for a moment.

Yuusha releases an improvised fireball. A small ball of fire covers the cat-like creature’s face.

『”Ginyaa!』

Unable to endure the intense pain caused by the burns, it begins to squirm, holding its face down.

Without missing the opportunity, Matari charges in.

“Haaaaah!”

She bashes her opponent’s head with her shield, further disrupting the struggling demon’s stance.

She stabs her sword into the exposed abdomen. The cat-like creature runs its claws in a desperate resistance and tears into Matari’s arm.

『Ginyaaaaaaaaaah!』

“Kuh! Damn it!”

The damage had been mitigated by the armor, but blood still seeps out. It hurts, but she doesn’t let go of the sword. She pulled the sword from its abdomen and thrust it into its head to stop it.

Matari continues to wiggle the sword as if she were carving at its brain. A splash of blood gushes out, dyeing Matari’s armor red.

The cat-like creature screeches loudly, but eventually it stooped and didn’t move a muscle.

“Haa, haa!”

“That was a good attack, especially the grinding after the stabbing. It’s very effective. I’ve had it happen to me too, it goes straight to the brain. It’s not funny, but it still makes me laugh.”

Laughing lightly, Yuusha walks up to Matari. She takes the injured arm to apply healing arts.

“—uh. Yuu, Yuusha?”

Matari frowns as the injured area is touched.

“The wound will heal quickly. Even if it’s torn to shreds, I can still attach it to you. I don’t know if you’ll ever get used to the pain, though.”

A healing light envelops Matari’s right arm and quickly heals the wound.

Since it didn’t seem to be that serious of an injury, Yuusha told her that there was nothing to be worried about.

“The wound closing up”

“It won’t leave a scar. You don’t have to worry about it.”

“……….”

“What’s wrong? You’re being awfully quiet . Aah, I won’t charge you for the treatment.”

Yuusha looked into Matari’s face from below. The same face from earlier was on it was surfacing.

“Ah, um. I was about to say it earlier, too.”

“…Yeah?”

“Why do you partner with me, Yuusha? You’re so strong, you can use magic and even control the healing arts.”

“……….”

“So, that’s why, um. Maybe, I’m just a hindrance, you know?”

Matari laughs to herself with a self mocking smile. But Yuusha thinks that those words are her true feeling.

Is it better this time, since she wasn’t called a monster. Matari looks away.

“…Why did I team up with you? Well, I wonder why? I guess it was just by chance.”

“That, I mean, if it bothers you, you should tell me! You don’t have to worry about me. I’ve been alone before, and I’m used to it.”

Matari smiles sadly. If it wasn’t for Yuusha, Matari would have been on her own. Maybe her origin was the cause of her downfall.

“……..Sometimes two people are better than one. The enemy’s attacks are dispersed and we can cover for each other’s gaps. Besides, if you think you’re a liability, all you have to do is train.”

“…But”

“No buts. If you can’t use magic, then you can just keep honing your swordsmanship. You have good instincts, and with experience you will become stronger. I can assure you that you will be strong.”

–After saying that, Yuusha wonders. Why am I trying to hold her back.

Why should I care what happens to this naïve person. She can go ahead and die in the wild by herself. Since should would no longer be next to me. I shouldn’t give a damn about it.

“……….”

“…and”

Yuusha chokes on her words for a moment.

“And?”

“If I get trapped, You’ll be there to help me, right?”

Yuusha unconsciously moves her hand to her chest. She doesn’t know why, but it’s burning hot. His heart is beating wildly.

Even though the sword isn’t stuck there anymore. I looked at the hand holding my heart down, but there was no blood on it.

(Would I have been different if someone else had been by my side at that time? Or would it not have mattered?)

The days when I kept running away. Exhausted and worn, the last place I fled to was a place of memories. They appeared again. And then.

–The world bled red.

“Yu-Yuusha?”

“…if you don’t like it, do what you want. It wasn’t a formal group to begin with. I don’t chase after people who want to leave. That’s my principle. I’m used to it, so I’ll be fine. I’ll just go back to how I usually am.”

Yuusha leaves Matari and next to the demon’s corpse and powerfully swings her dagger. She slashes off the tail and roughly shoves it into the leather bag.

When Matari sees this, she approaches with a panicked look and quickly bows her head.

Yuusha, surprised by the intensity, couldn’t help but widen her eyes.

“I’m sorry for being so weak! I may be a hindrance for a while, but I’m sure I will catch up with you soon! I’ll definitely show you how strong I can be!!”

“Is that so. Give it your all.”

“Yes! I’ve decided to continue to pursue the path of the sword! I’ll do my best!”

“Oh, yeah. That’s good for you.”

“Yes, I’ve been worried for a long time. I wonder if it was fine like this. Thank you, Yuusha. And I look forward to working with you in the future!”

When she said that, Matari firmly gripped Yuusha’s hands. Completely changing her expression from the depressed one she wore a moment ago.

Yuusha involuntarily frowns. Her clasped hands screaming.

“It hurts a little. — I mean, it really hurts you idiot! Come on, let go already. And it’s hot!”

“You said pain is something you get used to.”

“I’m not used to this kind of pain! Where in the world would you find and idiot who torments people with a handshake!”

“I’m sorry. Wait a moment.”

Yuusha is freed from the hellish vice grip. Next she restrained her head. Matari’s large hands gripped Yuusha’s head firmly.

Yuusha thought she was depressed, but then she started flailing like a boar.

(Your character is really hard to grasp, you stupid girl. ……. she is holding my head tightly for some reason)

“You have a little blood on your face. I’ll clean it up. Don’t move. It won’t take long.”

“Hey, hey—“

Matari begins to clean Yuusha’s face, wiping it with a cloth. The face is deformed into an interesting shape. I’m not sure if she helped or made it worse, Yuusha wondered as if it were someone else’s problem.

“—-Yes, that’s enough. You’re back to your usual cocky heroic attitude!

With an offensive comment, Matari releases Yuusha’s head.

“You’re. There’s a proper way to do it! I can wipe my face by myself”

“I’m sorry.”

Matari scratches her head with a blank expression on her face.

“You don’t really feel bad, do you? It’s clearly written your face.”

“No, it’s not! I wash my face and teeth every day, without fail!”

Matari put her hands in front of herself, showing with her body how ridiculous her claim was.

Yuusha’s mental strength was drained. She felt somewhat better, though.

(Should we have broken up, after all? I can’t help but feel like I just got another source of headache.)

Yuusha arches her back and lets out a deep sigh.

“Haa, I’m kind of tired. I’m going to drink so much alcohol today and then rest lazily in bed. You will be the one paying, of course.”

“That’s. Let’s split it. We are friends!”

“Shut up. It’s a nuisance fee for causing a fuss on your own. I’m a small drinker, so you can relax.”

“……Nothing but lies.”

“What did you say?”

“No, I didn’t say anything!”

Matari shook her head and hurriedly denied it. Yuusha couldn’t help but burst out a laugh at how the sight of her was amusing.

“….Oi, if you’re going to sleep, go to your room. I don’t want you disturbing the other guests. I need to make money.”

The master of the paradise pavilion is grumpy and cautious. He seems to be paying attention to what they were whispering at one point.

“…Don’t tell me.”

Out of character, Yuusha yells. He’s unreasonable.

Another unreasonable person is the boar girl sleeping next to her, drooling.

When they returned to the Paradise Pavilion, after eating and drinking, they were in a good mood and started where they had gone, and when they’re done, and then she fell asleep.

No matter how much Yuusha shakes her, there are no signs of her waking up. Pinching her cheek doesn’t help, even when pulling on her golden ponytail she doesn’t respond.

“She’s with you, so take care of her until the end. Of course, only after you’ve paid for your drinks and food. I heard that business is booming and you won’t have any problems paying for it.

The master, who had been told by Matari about the new armor, says so firmly.

Yuusha removes her hand from the ponytail and cowers her shoulders.

“Funny. She was supposed to treat me. Why do I have to pay for her now?”

“Maybe it’s fate. Give it up.”

“No, I don’t believe in fate. We choose our own path, you know. So here’s what I’m going to do.”

“What are you going to do?”

In response to the master’s inquiry, Yuusha holds out an empty glass.

“Give me another drink.”

“No more refills. You think you can get away with it if you fall asleep too, don’t you? You can’t fool my eyes. Now pay me and go back to your room. And take the young girl with you.”

He glares at me with a wary look in his eyes. I wonder if he has a long history where he was dumb enough to have his fees overturned.

Yuusha was about to tease him, but when she saw the boar next to her, she decided that it was time to go back.

“Yes, yes, all right. I’m going back for the day. Yes, the money. I don’t need any change.”

“It’s a nice tip for a pompous person like you.”

“I’m in the mood”

Yuusha gets off the her seat and moves the boar girl to carry her on her shoulder. The feels the weight of the unconscious body..

“You are like sisters when you do that. You’re like a cheeky little sister caring for her drunk sister.”

“Shut up.”

Yuusha glares at him and master gets momentarily startled.

“……..Haha, don’t be so angry. It was funny to see, so I was just expressing my opinion.”

“Yes yes, see you later.”

When Yuusha was about to walk out, master calls out to her from behind. Unlike earlier, he has a somewhat more serious tone.

“Let me warn you of one thing. I’ve heard that some of the bounty targets are starting to take an interest in you. You should be careful from now on.”

“Hee. What kind of rotten people do you think they are? Maybe we’ll get to see another interesting show.”

The thought of having to deal with these rotten-smelling trash is unexpectedly depressing, despite her words. But it’s even worse to let them alive. She have to exterminate them as soon as they are found, as they give off a rotten smell. That is my mission as a hero.

“Who is it again? The puppeteer and the specimen surgeon , was it? I think there was also someone called a trial something. The bounty targets are all crazy people, but this one is even worse. I only heard about it from Remoncy.”

“Oh, that nasty woman with the thick makeup.”

“Don’t say that in front of her. The other day, she was throwing knives at an impolite customer with a smile on her face. She’s a real bitch.”

(T.N: I wrote this part with the assumption that they’re talking about pinky but I’m not completely sure because they never mention a name and the first sentence where they talk about the character here was hard to understand, if I figure who exactly they’re talking about I’ll change it later)

The master pales as he remembers.

“I won’t tell her that she’s a nasty piece of work. Well, don’t worry about those guys, I’ll kill them all if I see them.”

“Haha, that’s really helpful. Just make sure you don’t die early. You’re a cocky kid, but you’re a good customer.”

“Thank you so much for that.”

Raising her hand up to Master, Yuusha began to walk slowly up the stairs. Matari still shows no signs of waking up. She seemed to be more energetic today, perhaps because she was able to relax. Maybe she was able to let out something that had been bothering her for a while.

From now on, she will show her true colors as a boar warrior without restraint.

Imagining that, Yuusha thought that she would probably be dragged around a lot. But somehow, she also thought that wasn’t too bad.

Probably because it seemed like it would be more fun than being on her own.

She evolved from warrior to boar warrior.

One reply on “Chapter 10”

Thanks for translating all of this! I really love this story of the author. But if I may ask, how come you’ve been writing Lulurile out? It’s kinda strange reading the jp version and occasionally checking out your tl and seeing everything scrubbed clean off her lol
